Moon Tree is a 5.5% ABV pale ale with Citra, Simcoe, Chinook, and Cascade hops. This beer is easy drinking with lots of citrus and pine character nicely balanced with pilsner, oat, wheat, and Munich malts. A great pale ale for warmer weather, Moon Tree has a refreshing ruby red grapefruit aroma that's balanced with a firm bitterness and piney flavors. The name was inspired by a scientific experiment that took place during the Apollo 14 mission. Tree seedlings orbited the moon inside the spacecraft and were planted around the country after returning to earth. The experiment used five different species, including the loblolly pine, which is native to the southeast.
