Position: Packaging Technician

Reports to: Packaging Manager
Job Description: This position is responsible for assistance in team leadership, guidance, and support in performing primary packaging functions, from set-up to clean-up, and general duties in the production brewery.

Our production team is seeking a highly-motivated, organized individual who understands the importance of the beer packaging process to the quality of our brands. This is a behind-the-scenes role, but it helps create the consumer-facing product. Simply stated, our Production Manager ensures all our brewing, cellaring, packaging, and shipping logistics are top notch.
This position is responsible for assistance in team leadership, guidance, and support in performing primary packaging functions, from set-up to clean-up, and general duties in the production brewery.
Must exhibit strong work ethic and leadership capabilities
Ability to remain positive and solution oriented in challenging situations
Must have a strong desire to deliver excellent work, and keep quality and efficiency always in mind
Needs the ability to stay very organized in order to maintain SOPs, report statistics to management and to technicians.
Should be mechanically inclined and possess excellent deductive reasoning skills
Ability to run a full CIP/SIP on related equipment
1-2 years’ operating a modern rotary can filler and seamer (e.g. Krones Craftmate)
Experience with tray formers and cardboard wrap machinery (e.g. Switchback Brew Pack, Switchback Tray Pack)
Experience with automated kegging equipment (e.g KHS Combikeg)
Experience with a Wild Goose canning line a plus
1+ year of experience working in a production brewery or beverage packaging operation
High school diploma
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail while managing time to meet production goals
Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high
limb stairs, ramps, and ladders
Work on feet for an entire shift
Report ready to work on time
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
