Breasta Fiesta!

In conjunction with our current gallery art, we are holding a special brewery tour to raise awareness & donations for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and featuring artwork by Sara Belle Papp. We will have food, a special *pink* syrup to add to Athena, and live music for this very special day!

About the artist:
Sara Papp lived in Marietta, GA before and after graduating from the UGA Terry College in 2000. In her mid-twenties, Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer and learned to use art as an expressive coping method. She created pastels and paintings for her friends and family, often focusing on subjects found around her family’s home and garden. Though Sara passed away due to complications with the cancer at 31, her art and memory lives on in the hearts and homes of her loved ones. This posthumous exhibition features thirteen of the artist’s vibrant, color-driven compositions of flora and fauna. It is the largest ever show of her work and the first public display of her art since her passing. Several of the works on display in the brewery are high-resolution giclée reproductions which are available for purchase on the artist’s website.

“My art is about being captured by the deliciousness of something – especially from the perspective of microcosms – and wishing to express how it makes me feel. There is a vibrancy and inner life of all things and places to be known. It seems the smaller the subject, the louder its voice. Expressing this vibrancy is my art.” –Sara Papp
