When we heard that the Shelton Brothers were going to hold their annual The Festival event in Atlanta, Georgia, one of two markets where our beer is distributed, we were excited, anxious, and all around proud. We of course know what an amazing craft beer culture exists in Atlanta, filled with educated and loyal consumers and retailers, and we wanted to make sure that we could do our part to shine a light on it for others to see. Therefore, we went to work to collaborate with our industry friends to create some amazing experiences for the general public and industry guests coming in from out of town.
Now looking back about two weeks removed, we can certainly say that Atlanta did not disappoint. There were dozens of incredible events, Georgia beer lovers turned out in droves, and excitement for the Festival filled the air and was palpable all weekend long.
Below you'll find a snapshot of CCBC at The Festival -- a little of the experience through our eyes -- photos of beers, Creatures, friends, Creatures waiting on beers, friends sharing beer, friends enjoying beers. Some of the photos are silly and some of them are not, but all of them show a little part of what makes up this incredible industry.
All in all, we just wanted to say thanks to everyone who showed up for The Festival, the Shelton Brothers who decided to throw the event in Atlanta, and all of our friends in the industry that came together to make an unforgettable experience. We think it was perhaps the greatest weekend for beer in the history of Georgia, and as our state laws finally make a step toward supporting Georgia's local breweries this weekend, we are once again excited, anxious and overall proud to be a part of Georgia beer's story.
